History
The Dark 'n' Stormy comes from Bermuda and is so popular there that the name is actually trademarked by Goslings Rum. The drink probably originated after World War I when British sailors mixed locally produced dark rum with ginger beer invented by the Royal Navy. The name refers to the drink's appearance – dark rum over lighter ginger beer, like storm clouds on the horizon.

Fun Fact
