History
The Caffè Latte has a surprisingly international history. Although the name is Italian, the drink as we know it was "invented" by American tourists in Italy who wanted their coffee milder. In Italy, you don't simply order "Latte" – you'll just get a glass of milk! The correct term is "Caffè Latte" or "Latte e Caffè." The drink became globally popular through Seattle's coffee culture in the 1980s.
Taste Experience
The Caffè Latte envelops the palate like a warm blanket. The coffee aromas are present but gentle – notes of cocoa and nut harmoniously blend with the creamy milk. It's the perfect drink for those who like coffee but aren't looking for intense bitterness.
Fun Fact
