The story goes that a famous model came to his bar asking for a drink that would "wake her up, then mess her up." Bradsell combined freshly brewed espresso with vodka and coffee liqueur – creating one of the most iconic cocktails in modern bar history. Today it's experiencing a renaissance and is more popular than ever.

Did You Know?

Dick Bradsell originally called the drink "Vodka Espresso." The name "Espresso Martini" came later when cocktails with "Martini" in the name became more popular – although technically it's not a Martini.
